Everything ViewTwo does, in detail.

ViewTwo lives in your Windows tray and works on three stages of one pipeline — naming a fresh export, advancing it through revision, and getting it to a colleague. Nothing here renames or overwrites your originals unless you explicitly confirm it.

Stage one

Re-Name

Free during launch

Right-click any freshly exported file and give it a compliant name for the first time — picked field by field, never typed from memory.

No AI, no guessing. Every field is picked by you, from real data — never inferred, never auto-repaired.

Field-by-field wizard, not a typed code

Level, type, role and revision are chosen from dropdowns sourced from real BS EN ISO 19650 field data — you never type or memorise a code, and you can't typo a field that doesn't exist.

Extended type codes

Covers drawings alongside non-drawing types — Calculations, Method Statements, Risk Information, Programme, Forms, Sketches, and Contract Particulars — so it's not just for drawing sheets.

Always starts at the right revision

A newly named file always begins at the first working-draft revision, so you're never left guessing where in the lifecycle a brand-new export should sit.

Optional free-text description

Add a plain-English description alongside the compliant code, so the name stays meaningful to a human as well as valid to the standard.

Live content preview

See the actual PDF page or image you're naming, right inside the wizard, so you're never naming a file blind or guessing which one you've got open.

Remembers your defaults

Your originator code is remembered across sessions and pre-filled next time, so repetitive fields don't need re-entering on every single file.

Works on any file type

Not limited to drawings — images, Office documents, and email attachments can all be given a compliant name the same way.

Never touches the original

Re-Name always creates a new, correctly named copy. The source file you exported is never renamed, moved, or altered.

Stage two

Re-View

Free during launch

Advance an already-named file through its revision lifecycle, with the next code computed for you at every step.

Working draft (P0.01) Shared (P0) Published (C0)

You pick what you're doing — draft, share, or publish — and ViewTwo computes the correct next code. You never type a revision number yourself.

Three-line file view

Every file shows its real filename, its decoded BIM fields, and its current status and revision at a glance — no need to decode a long filename in your head.

Compliance traffic light

A simple green/amber/red indicator shows whether a filename fully conforms, is missing a field, or can't be parsed at all — instantly, without opening the file.

Add your own notes

Attach a plain-English description to any file, purely for your own reference. Display-only — it's never written into the file itself.

Revision log that remembers where you got to

ViewTwo tracks the last revision issued for each file, so the next issue continues correctly instead of re-reading a static filename every time.

Bulk push

Select several files at once and apply one revision action to all of them, with a full preview before anything is confirmed.

Dedicated pre-issue repository

A default local staging folder for files you're actively working on, kept separate from your live project folders until you're ready to issue.

Confirmed push-out, dated and never overwritten

When you're ready to issue, pick a destination root and ViewTwo deposits into a dated subfolder — always a new file, never an overwrite, and always shown to you before it writes anything.

Status and revision code reference

A built-in reference for what each status and revision code actually means, for anyone on the team who doesn't have the standard memorised.

Stage three

Drop

Free during launch

Get a file or folder to a colleague, without opening email or hunting for a shared-drive path.

Send from anywhere in Explorer

Right-click any file or folder and send it directly — no need to have ViewTwo's panel open first.

Send to several colleagues at once

Tick multiple recipients in one go, rather than repeating the send for each person individually.

Automatic path resolution

ViewTwo resolves the path across shared storage automatically, and warns you clearly if a location isn't reachable rather than failing silently.

Know who sent it

The sender's name is built into the shortcut that arrives, so nobody has to guess who shared a file with them.

How ViewTwo protects your files

Every feature above follows the same rule, without exception.
